About Dennis Bush...

Dennis Bush's plays have been performed in New York and throughout the United States and Canada.

In 2007, he had five plays (Asylum, Fetal Pig, Outside In, Before We Go and Windows) published and available for performance licensing. He had two monologue collections (Never the Same and Spontaneous Combustion) published, as well. The latter collection is also available for performance licensing in production form.

Asylum had its premiere New York production in May and June, 2007, directed by Lester Thomas Shane. It was named one of the Top Ten plays in the Wonderland Festival and the actors received the festival's Best Ensemble cast award for their outstanding work.

Since September, Asylum has been produced by dozens of theatre companies in the US and Canada and received awards at numerous regional and state theatre festivals. His play, Fetal Pig (starring Melissa Teitel and Benjamin Burt), received its debut as part of An Evening of New Works, presented in association with the Dramatists Guild.

His new play, Cracks (featuring Brandy Hotchner, Benjamin Burt, Kelsey Torstveit and Martin Scott), will premiere in June, 2008, at the Scottsdale Center for the Performing Arts new works event.

In April, 2007, selections from Spontaneous Combustion and Never the Same were performed in New York. His play, Somebody Else, had a workshop/reading in New York in June, 2007.

Dennis has extensive credits as a writer, coach and consultant. He has written commissioned theatrical texts for numerous clients. In addition to his theatrical texts, Dennis has written and or supervised media campaigns for many non-profit organizations, corporations and foundations. He is associated with the Alliance of Los Angeles Playwrights and is a proud member of the Dramatists Guild of America and serves as the organizations Southwest regional representative.
